Buddy Poppies

It all started in war-devastated France in World War I. The red poppy growing in Flanders Fields memorialized the deaths of American and Allied soldiers. Madame Anna E Guérin, founder of the American and French Children’s League, spoke at servicemen’s organizations and always requested the same thing: Please, whenever possible, wear a silk red poppy flower to honor the fallen.

Veteran Outreach

Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.

Action Corps

This group stays up-to-date on the issues facing our veterans, our military and their families, standing ready to email, write, call and visit our nation’s lawmakers to make their voices heard. The VFW Action Corps is free and open to all patriotic Americans who care about the military and veterans’ communities.

As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

Greetings!
 
The next General (Comrades & Auxiliary) meeting is September 4th at 1900 (7 P.M.). Post related issues will be discussed and voted on. Please attend so your voices and ideas are heard. TOGETHER we continue to help strengthen our Post and community! 
 
Smoked or BBQ Chicken Leg Quarters Fundraiser on August 23rd. at 1300 (1 P.M.). Plus a electronic bowling & golf tournament. Details on our Facebook page & group. 

Post Steak/Chicken Night is September 11th at 1800 (6P.M.). The Commander is grilling the steaks & chicken! 
 
The next regularly scheduled House Committee meeting is August 27th at 1800 (6 P.M.). Any Canteen/Post related issues will be discussed such as upcoming events, comment cards and more.
